How to choose right diet? My story

Do you struggle with choosing the right food for your health and body?

It’s a fact that lots of us are struggling when it comes to choosing the right for our health and body. Many of us also don’t know how to make a good meal with the right food. I will tell you my story and maybe you can learn something from it.

Nutrition is a very important subject for me and so it is for many others. Important because if I don’t feed myself with healthy food and beverages it gets such a big impact on my daily life and also the rest of my life. I have been doing so many diets in my life that I’ve lost track of the numbers. My diets could last from a week to a year. In between diets I often ate bad stuff. I was either in a very strong regime or I just gave up and ate everything without no self- control. I’ve had stomach issues since I was a youth or maybe it started earlier. I can’t remember when the first reactions came with pains in my stomach. At that time I didn’t understand why it happened. There was not so much information about healthy eating. I also struggled with issues with my parents and family and thought it had something to do with that.

My problems during all these years have been with the following:

Amalgam fillings issues. Stomach issues with cramps, gas, rumble. Candida infections. Bladder infections. I had a lot of pimples in my face and my skin was sensitive and itchy. Later I had more problems such as pain in my joints, memory loss, low energy, tiredness. I felt much better during my diets, but since the regime was so hard I was not able to keep up with it over a longer period.

Choose the right diet for yourself

So I had to find a way that could work for me. The main reasons why I quit my diets was because I didn’t know how to chose healthy foods. I lacked experience with food products. I found out that if I wanted to eat healthily I had to cook myself.  But I was not motivated enough to spend time making nutritious food. So the process of accomplishing a diet that I could live with and be satisfied with has taken me a long time. And I’m still doing research and learning more and more about better ways to eat healthily and feel better. I’ve also learned a lot about foods to avoid.

The food I react mostly to are milk products, sugar and flour. They are the types of food I should stay away from. I also know that sugar is not good for maybe all of us especially if we consume it in high doses. It causes a lot of health issues in folks like for instance diabetes, overweight, liver problems, and can also lead to cancer. It’s also highly addictive. Once you started to eat a lot of food containing sugar you can’t get enough of it.

The most important is to make really good choices for you and your body because you are worth it. Maybe it sounds like a cliche but it’s also something in it.

Do you have any goals for your eating? My goals are to be as healthy as I can and chose wisely when it comes to healthy food. Coconut oil is one of my choices towards a better and healthier life because of all the benefits this fruit has. I also enjoy cooking but I have to admit that I don’t want to spend to much time preparing meals because of lots of other things to do. Maybe you feel the same. Recipes not longer than 30 – 45 min is ideal for me. So I can spend more time outdoors.
